Ingredients

120 g of sugar
3 eggs at room temperature 90 g of flour 00
1 teaspoon of baking powder for cakes
1/2 vanilla bean
1 pinch of salt
200 ml of milk
25 g of corn starch
140 ml of fresh cream
1 teaspoon of honey
powdered sugar

Procedure

Let’s start by taking a bowl in which we are going to beat the egg whites with the salt. Gradually add the sugar and then the egg yolks beaten with the vanilla. At this point we combine the flour with the yeast and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. We put the mixture in a pan there about 20 cm and we go to bake at 170 degrees for about 30 minutes. While our base is cooking we prepare the milk cream, take a saucepan and heat the milk with the sugar, continue to mix and add the corn starch and honey. We continue until it has thickened. We put the cream in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap and let it cool to room temperature. Once cold, add the whipped cream, making sure to mix from the bottom up. Now take the cake (at room temperature), cut it in half and fill it with the cream. If we want we can also sprinkle with icing sugar.
