Lemon cake
Ingredients
  • 200g flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150ml fresh lemon juice
  • 150ml milk
  • 100g butter
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • the grated rind of 2 lemons
  • powdered sugar to decorate
Procedure

Imagine walking through the streets of a small Italian town, where the air is filled with the scent of citrus fruits and the sunlight reflects off the white walls of the houses. That’s where the inspiration for our lemon cake comes from!

To make this delicious dessert, you will need:

  • 200g flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150ml fresh lemon juice
  • 150ml milk
  • 100g butter
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • the grated rind of 2 lemons
  • powdered sugar to decorate

Start preparing the lemon cake by heating the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, beat eggs with sugar until light and fluffy. Add the lemon juice, grated zest, and milk, mixing well.

In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Add this mixture to the egg and lemon mixture, continuing to stir until evenly mixed.

Melt the butter and add it to the mixture, stirring again until smooth. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured cake pan and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

Let the lemon cake cool before serving, dusted with powdered sugar if necessary. This delicious cake is perfect for a snack or dessert, and will bring the taste of sunshine and the freshness of lemons to your table. Enjoy!”
