  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste.
Procedure

Hello friends, today I want to share with you one of my favorite recipes: braised Italian style. This delicious meat dish is perfect for cold days and can be served with a nice portion of polenta or baked potatoes. Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1 kg of beef (I prefer the back part)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 large carrots, shredded
  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 glass of red wine
  • 1 can of peeled tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste.

First, in a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and add the meat, browning it on both sides. When the meat is well browned, remove it from the pot and add the chopped vegetables. Sauté them for a few minutes, then add the garlic and brown it.

Then add the meat to the pot, along with the red wine, tomato paste, bay leaf and cloves. Stir well and add the peeled tomatoes. Cover with a lid and cook over medium-low heat for about 2 hours, until the meat is tender and very soft.

At this point, you can serve your pot roast accompanied by polenta or baked potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
