Crostini with creamed fava beans and crispy bacon

- 100 g of smoked bacon

Hello friends! Today I want to share with you another delicious Italian appetizer recipe: crostini with creamed fava beans and crispy bacon. This recipe is perfect for an evening with friends or a family dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg fresh broad beans
- 100 g of smoked bacon
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tuft of parsley
- 1 lemon
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper
- homemade bread croutons
Preparation:
- Peel the broad beans and place them in a pot with salted water. Boil them for about 15 minutes or until soft.
- Meanwhile, cut the bacon into cubes and brown it in a frying pan until crispy. Set aside.
- In a pot, sauté garlic in a little extra virgin olive oil.
- Once cooked, drain the fava beans and add them to the pot with the garlic. Blend the fava beans until you get a smooth cream.
- Mix cream of fava beans with crispy bacon, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Toast the homemade bread croutons and spread the cream of fava beans and bacon on them. Serve hot.
