Peppers stuffed with meat and sausage
Ingredients
- Peppers (4 peppers of 200 g each) 800 g
- Minced veal 300 g
- Sausage 150 g
- Stale bread crumbs 100 g
- Parmesan to grate 50 g
- Pecorino to grate 50 g
- Whole milk 150 g
- Eggs 2
- 1 clove garlic
- Parsley to chop to taste
- Salt up to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Breadcrumbs 15 g
- Parmesan to grate 15 g
- Extra virgin olive oil 20 g
Procedure
Start by cutting the stale bread into small pieces and place it in a large bowl with the milk. In another bowl, combine the sausage and minced meat, grated cheese, eggs, salt, pepper and parsley. Now also add the bread softened in milk, squeezing it first. Knead until you get a homogeneous and compact dough. Then clean the peppers by removing the stalk, the inner part and the upper cap. Fill the peppers up to the edge with the previously prepared filling. Put them in an oven dish, sprinkle the cheese and breadcrumbs on the surface. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 60 minutes. Serve them lukewarm.
